What are we looking for?

We are looking for a professional, highly organised graduate to join our busy Recruitment team.  You will be a team player with excellent communication skills and an ability to win the confidence and respect of others.  The ideal candidate will be able to work methodically and effectively under pressure while being reliable, enthusiastic and approachable.

 

Area of focus and responsibilities

Graduate Recruitment:

  • Assessing and shortlisting online vacation scheme and training contract applications
  • Coordinating vacation scheme and training contract interviews
  • Coordinating our vacation schemes and assessment centres
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Providing interview feedback to successful/unsuccessful candidates
  • Administrative organisation of the graduate recruitment process including liaising with candidates to arrange interviews, compiling interview packs, updating process tracking documents and systems, room bookings, catering, greeting candidates and processing expenses/invoices
  • Assisting with the new joiner Trainee process, including preparation of offer paperwork, background checks and Right to Work checks
  • Booking, organising and attending law fairs with Partners and Trainees
  • Running our Open Day events
  • Assisting with maintaining all electronic HR files, including scanning and filing documents
  • Updating and proofreading directory entries
  • Running the Withers social media channels (Instagram/Twitter/Facebook)
  • Assisting with ad hoc project work and events as required

 

Lateral Recruitment and Diversity:

  • Assisting the wider recruitment team with arranging interviews and administering tests for lateral fee earner and business services roles
  • Assisting the global partnership recruitment team on the partner recruitment process
  • General administration including processing invoices and assisting with budget tracking
  • Responding to enquiries through our recruitment mailbox
  • Assisting the wider recruitment team with diversity schemes and initiatives (further information on these can be found on our website)
  • Assisting with ad hoc project work and events as required

Technical skills and experience:

§  Educated to degree level, or equivalent

§  Must have excellent IT skills

§  Experience working in a professional services organisation in a similar role that covers the majority of the areas above would be ideal

 

Interpersonal skills:

§  Flexible approach and a strong desire to provide an outstanding service to clients both internally and externally

§  Strong interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills

§  Smart, calm and professional manner

§  Keen attention to detail and able to organise effectively, with a sense of urgency

§  A good team player, reliable, enthusiastic and have total discretion

§  Proactive, energetic and enthusiastic with high professional standards

The Essentials:

§  9.30am to 5.30pm but flexibility is a must

§  12 week probation period

§  4 week notice period
