The Role

The focus of this role will be on working with team members on all phases of litigation and arbitration, including drafting pleadings, motions and discovery, conducting legal research, taking and defending depositions, analysis of information produced in discovery, assisting with court appearances and ultimately handling court appearances, and brainstorming with team members on developing strategies for each case.  Annual compensation commensurate with experience and ranging from $220,000 to $265,000. 

Key Skills and Experience

  • Admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar
  • Strong academic credentials (JD required)
  • 4 – 5 years’ experience as a litigation attorney
  • Excellent research, drafting, writing and communication skills
  • Experience drafting documents, including but not limited to pleadings (complaint and answer), discovery requests, responses to discovery requests and memoranda of law
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong, in-depth analytical ability and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong project management ability; ability to balance a large number of competing priorities
  • Team player
  • Exposure to sophisticated disputes and investigations
  • Experience with depositions and court proceedings a plus
  • International experience a plus
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint a plus
