What are we looking for?

We are looking for a bright intern to join our digital team in London which itself is part of the firm's wider marketing and business development (MBD) function.   This is a varied role supporting other members of the digital team, as well as managing your own workload and will give the successful candidate great exposure to digital marketing activity. This is a fixed term contract role for the summer and would suit a school leaver or university student looking to gain some experience of working in a business environment. The digital team is currently engaged in an exciting project involving the launch of an upgraded website, employing cutting edge technology.

You will be joining a friendly, fun and lively team at a pivotal time when the firm is investing significantly in its digital platform, which sits at the heart of everything we do. The firm has a unique culture that many prefer over that of other firms and our client base is truly fascinating. 

You will be part of a core project team, who are working on the delivery of the firm's corporate website on a new content management system, Kentico.  Your key responsibilities will include reviewing and editing content on the new system and creating new content as we prepare the site for launch.

Skills and attributes

  • Educated to A level or equivalent (or awaiting A level results)
  • Previous use of content management system (eg Sitecore or Kentico) would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic and keen, with a can-do approach and the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities
  • Technically savvy and able to pick up using new systems quickly and easily

Areas of focus and responsibilities

  • Reviewing content which has been automatically migrated from our current site to the new site, comparing the current site with the new and making any required updates in the new content management system
  • Ensuring that the content on the site meets minimum requirements and adheres to house style rules
  • Using our content management system to create new content such as track record, testimonials, articles, promo regions and more
  • Creating and reviewing campaign landing pages
  • Adding and updating page SEO meta titles and descriptions
  • Publishing pages on our foreign language sites and adding translated copy
  • Archiving content that is no longer required
  • Reporting any bugs or other issues found on the site
  • Managing change requests received from the business to content on both our current and new sites
  • Reviewing and identifying imagery on the new site which needs replacing (for example where it does not work in the new design)
  • Sourcing new imagery that fits our brand style from our internal image banks or stock image libraries
  • Support for ad hoc projects being run across the digital or wider marketing team

  • Up to 3 month fixed term contract - would consider candiadtes looking for a shorter term placement
  • 9.30am – 5.30pm but flexibility is a must
