About Marketing and Business Development at Withersworldwide

  • Around 30 marketers in London, 50 internationally. A team of specialists in their areas (BD, Digital, Events, Brand, Campaigns, PR, Internal Communications) but who are happy to roll their sleeves up to help each other out with all sorts of projects whenever needed.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a graduate or graduate calibre individual with relevant work experience, to support the firm's leading private client and tax team in Europe. This is an exciting role that will offer variety and exposure to a wide range of marketing and business development activity where no two days are the same. You will be joining at a pivotal time for our clients in the private client sector, which is driving some exiting marketing campaigns and business development opportunities, which you will be an important part of.

Collaborating with the wider marketing team and working closely with the lawyers, you can expect to join a friendly, supportive and fun team both on the business services side and legal side. The firm has a unique culture that many prefer over that of other firms and our client base is truly fascinating.  Because of this, and because of the type of law we advise on, we have scope to run more engaging campaigns than elsewhere in the sector.

Your primary responsibilities will include co-ordinating and supporting in-person events such as client roundtables and seminars, virtual events, producing pitch and credential documents and legal directory submissions. You will also assist in some aspects of digital marketing and client relationship management.

You will be a people-person and confident liaising with people at all levels across the firm, from senior partners to other business service departments.  You will bring passion and enthusiasm to your work. Strong attention to detail, time management and organisation is imperative in this role.

Areas of focus and responsibilities

  • Supporting on all marketing and BD activity for the private client and tax division
  • Preparing pitch and credential documents
  • Assisting in the co-ordination and delivery of in person events, from planning to execution and attendance, as well as occasional webinars
  • Supporting the legal directories process for our European teams and other ad-hoc award submissions
  • Assisting in tracking and coordinating marketing and business development activity for the division, ensuring we maintain awareness of global activities
  • Working closely with our CRM team on encouraging best us of our CRM system within the division both with the lawyers and business services teams
  • Collating information on significant new client wins and projects across the division
  • Providing general administrative support, for example producing internal communications for divisional updates, agendas for divisional meetings, and updating PowerPoint decks to ensure brand consistency.
  • Carrying out research across the team
  • Working closely with our internal communications team to raise profile of the division.
  • Supporting our Middle East Special Interest group which includes lawyers based right across the firm.

Skills and attributes

  • Ideally educated to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Preferably you have work placement / work experience within a marketing team
  • Passionate, ambitious and enthusiastic about marketing
  • A positive and pro-active attitude
  • Emotionally intelligent and able to flex your style depending on your audience
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Highly organised and happy to juggle lots of projects at any time
  • Have the ability to stay calm and work under pressure

The Essentials

  • 9.30am – 5.30pm but flexibility is a must
  • 12 week probation period
  • 4 week notice period
