What are we looking for?
This is a newly established role focused on supporting the APAC Head of Risk & Compliance (who is based in Singapore) and the International Risk & Compliance Director (who is based in London) of an international law firm, and the firms Claims Counsels and the Professional Indemnity Insurance Manager for the EU, US and APAC regions. The Risk & Compliance Lawyer will be involved in managing the firm’s APAC Risk & Compliance function and presents an exciting opportunity to be involved in a wide range of Risk & Compliance matters. The role will involve providing regular advice on professional responsibility and compliance issues and ensuring compliance with the code of conducts and other relevant rules, legislation and procedures applicable to law firms in Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan. The successful candidate will assist in identifying areas of risk inherent in the firm’s practice and ensuring that there are in place best practice mechanisms and procedures to respond to and manage those risks. The ideal candidate will be willing to go the extra mile, joining a team who are dedicated and committed to supporting the firm in its client-focused work. We are looking for a candidate who is strong willed – but calm, and who is eager to take responsibility and drive projects forward. You will be an excellent communicator, inquisitive and enthusiastic and willing to work with lawyers and support staff at all levels and in differing jurisdictions. |
